在上下五千年的历史中，五十三年，真算不了什么，和汉唐宋明清等等热门朝代比起来，五代十国也是偏冷门的，但是，不看不知道一看吓一跳，这短短五十三年，却实实在在是我中华五千年的缩影，也正是这五十三年历史的咏叹调，我汉民族从文化到民族性才一步一个血印，慢慢走出安史之乱的人间地狱，迎来了宋初的伟大复兴，可惜了，有宋以来，血性少了，奴性多了。和南北朝不同，这五十三年，虽然有李克用等等少数民族参与，但总体是汉文化的冲突，这也是非常有意思的一点。这部剧文中文字错误挺多的是一个挺大的不足

书中对中国的南北人口描写这一段有些牵强附会。他将Beethoven Lives Upstairs类历史社会等联系起来，给予疫病历史诠释，真的很棒。因为像我这种不了解战争的人不知道为什么这个国赢了那个国输了，原因盘枝错节，瘟疫不容小觑。历史对疫病总是一笔带过。不是史学家未注意，反而是故意为之，而这目的不言而喻。
